About
I’m Barry McStay, born 25th May 1985. I’m from Kildare and am in my last year studying English in Trinity College Dublin – though I spend most of my time avoiding that reality, generally dividing my time between DU Players’ (the Drama Society’s) Players Theatre, thrashing about on a golf course, listening to music and watching various sporting events. My passions include Liverpool Football Club, golf, acting, R.E.M., writing difficult poetry when being direct would be much simpler, Australia, cooking, walking on mild evenings in leafy surroundings, BBC comedy, Irish rugby and quiet drinks with good friends.

I found your Advent blog on Jan. 29th.
It’s wonderful.
You’re a terrific writer.
check out my stuff.
Thank you Father Bob, that’s very kind of you to say so. Some of the pictures on your site a beautiful too, and there are always times when we hunger for some food for thought – in between the times when I’m writing about sport! Thanks again for your kind words, God Bless.
I love your site!
